In July we open our Junior Summer Surf and English Camp

Like our English and Surfing course for Juniors at Babel Fish, our Summer Surf and English camp combines English Language classes with surf coaching.

15 hours of lessons each week, three each morning – then surf coaching each afternoon.

PLUS – an evening activity programme and weekend excursions.

We’re the only English and surfing school whose teachers are also surf coaches: your summer surf camp will be with other surfers and like-minded young people from around the world.

Your surf coach will be a Babel Fish Surf Coach, or a coach from our partners: NQY Surf School and Newquay Activity Centre
Expect fun lessons, caring teachers, and knowledgable local surfers who will progress your language ability – and your surfing.

Who is the Summer Surf and English Camp for?

Under 18s
All surf abilities: total beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers
All language abilities

Surf equipment is provided: a wetsuit to keep you warm and a surfboard to suit your ability level.

You will receive a welcome pack with a packing list of the other equipment you need to bring to Newquay to get the most from your Junior Summer Surf and English Camp trip.

Summer Camp Evening Programme

English and Surfing in July comes with an evening summer programme.

We develop a fantastic surfing and learning community in summer, with students from across the world learning English and Surfing together.

On our evening activity programme are:

Summer Surf and English Camp Accommodation

Spend the days with your new friends and classmates, then head home to welcoming host families in Newquay and nearby towns.

Our host families will provide you with breakfast and dinner, and we will provide you with places to buy tasty lunches.

Host families will usually take 2-3 students, so you will be living with other Babel Fish Summer Camp crew!
