School group EFL courses at Babel Fish are an excellent way to learn English, experience Cornwall – and learn to surf.
EFL for Schools
We offer General English lessons for all levels and all ages.
Our passion for learning and for our environment are seen in our innovative study programmes which celebrate the relationship between learning, land and sea.
Meticulously planned itineraries + bespoke programmes
We create bespoke programmes for each of our school partners ensuring that each student receives 15 hours of English tuition per week.
We have a range of afternoon activities that can be included in the programme we design for your school – all meticulously organised with safety in mind. Students can learn to surf, coasteer, SUP, play beach games or visit local places of interest.
Improve your English skills and enjoy adventurous activities. At Babel Fish, we found that learning English doesn’t have to be limited to class. Learning is diverse.
At Babel Fish we specialize in surfing. Alex has been teaching and training for over 15 years and works with complete beginners as well as advanced surfers looking to improve. Cornwall is blessed with a variety of quality beaches so we can usually find a spot in the sea regardless of the conditions! All equipment is provided.
A great way to see the coast. Students meet with our professional guides who will equip them with the necessary equipment, give them a safety notice, take them to a suitable place and then jump! We go coasteering, along the Gannel Estuary and near Towan Beach. It’s a lot of fun.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
SUPing is another great way to see the coast. Sometimes we go from Crantock beach and paddle around the headland, often we see seals and other marine animals; sometimes we go down the Gannel Estuary for a quieter experience. Alternatively, we will drive from Towan Beach to Porth Island and enjoy the beautiful coastal landscape.
Out of the water
In the evening, we can arrange to go ten-pin bowling, play mini golf, enjoy games evenings and barbecues on the beach.
Our school group course is designed to reflect our Cornish cultural identity and ultimately be a life affirming holiday for young people.Get In Touch
